Carbofuran (CAR)

Rapid CDIA^TM Carbofuran kits are intended to use as a rapid method to detect the presence of carbofuran in in agricultural products.

Carbofuran, is a systemic N-methylcarbamate pesticide with predominant contact and stomach action. It is an important insecticide to control soildwelling and foliar-feeding insects, spider mites, and nematodes in vegetables, ornamentals, and agronomic crops such as maize, sorghum, alfalfa, peanuts, and potatoes. Carbofuran is a potent cholinesterase inhibitor with high acute toxicity to bees, birds, and fish.
