Mercury (Hg)

Rapid CDIA^TM Mercury kits are intended to use as a rapid method to detect the presence of mercury in the food, such as milk.

Mercury is a chemical element with symbol Hg. It is commonly known as quicksilver. The most toxic forms of mercury are its organic compounds, such as dimethylmercury and methylmercury. Mercury can cause both chronic and acute poisoning. Mercury poisoning can result from exposure to water-soluble forms of mercury, by inhalation of mercury vapor, or by ingesting any form of mercury.
