Rapid CDIATM EDDP Test kits are intended to screen for the presence of EDDP in human urine/saliva.
Methadone, a Schedule II controlled substance, is often used in the treatment of opiate addiction and pain management; it also has a high potential for abuse. Methadone is metabolized primarily into two pharmacologically inactive metabolites, EDDP and EMDP. EDDP represents a better urine marker for monitoring methadone maintenance than testing for un-metabolized methadone alone.
