Potato Virus X (PVX)
Rapid CDIATM Potato Virus X (PVX) kits are intended for the detection of PVX in infected potato leaves, tuber eyes, sprouts, and stems.
Potato virus X is the type member of the Potexvirus family of plant viruses. The virus can cause symptoms of chlorosis, mosaic, decreased leaf size, and necrotic lesions in tubers. It is transmitted mechanically, not by an insect vector. The most important way to control this virus is to plant certified seed.
