CLEN (Clenbuterol)

Clenbuterol belongs the group of β-agonists. It is a therapeutic drug for asthma, approved for human use in some countries in Europe (Bulgaria and Russia) and Asia (China). Due to its lipolytic and anabolic effect, it is used on livestock to increase the proportion of lean meat. Due to its putative performance- enhancing properties, urine samples are routinely tested for its presence during doping control. In Europe, meat sold for human consumption is required to have a level of Clenbuterol less than 100ng/kg . However, Clenbuterol is prohibited in most countries, such as United States, as its residue may cause serious side effects, such as abnormal heart rate and heart disease.
