Rapid CDIATM Fluoroquinolones Test Kits are intended for the detection of FQNS contamination in milk.
The fluoroquinolones are a series of syntheticantibacterial agents that are undergoing extensive investigation for both humanand veterinary use in the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections. Theseagents work through the inhibition of DNA gyrase, interfering with thesupercoiling of bacterial chromosomal material. As a result, these agents arerapidly bactericidal primarily against gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasma, andsome grampositive bacteria, with most having little to no activity against groupD streptococci and obligate anaerobic bacteria.
