Medroxyprogesterone (MP)

Medroxyprogesterone (abbreviated as MP) is a progestin which is used in veterinary medicine in France to control estrus in animals. A derivative, medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), is used as a medication in humans, and is far more widely known in comparison. Compared to MPA, MP is over two orders of magnitude less potent as a progestogen.
