Cardiac Markers Tests
The
underlying mechanism of CVD involves atherosclerosis, which making it hard for
blood to flow through arteries because of the narrowing caused by the gradual build-up
of fatty material (called atheroma) within their walls. Without adequate blood, the heart (or other tissue cells) becomes starved of oxygen and other essential
nutrients. Then those cells die, which leads a series of symptoms of CVD.
Both
the elements taking part in the atherosclerosis, such as C-reactive
protein (CRP) low-density lipoprotein (LDL), high-density lipoprotein (HDL),
cholesterol, triglycerides, D-dimmer and
substances released after the dying of cells, such as troponin (cTnI and cTnT),
creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), Myoglobin (Mb) can be taken as markers of the development of CVD. These
markers are not only used in the diagnosis and risk stratification
of patients, but also taken into consideration in therapeutic
decision-making and assessment of clinical outcomes.
As one of the leading company in
diagnostics industry, Creative Diagnostics provides kits for cardiac marker
tests with high sensitivity and high specificity as follows:
