Rapid CDIATM Vancomycin Test Kits are intended for the detection of a Vancomycin substance in milk.
Vancomycin was isolated from a soil sample collected deep in the interior jungle of Borneo. Vancomycin is indicated for the treatment of serious, life-threatening infections by gram-positive bacteria. In particular, vancomycin should not be used to treat methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus because it is inferior to penicillins such as nafcillin.
